Something for everyone!
We are a small farm dedicated to producing honey, fruits and vegetables using ecological principles mainly inspired by Korean Natural Farming and permaculture. Our focus is on providing quality food, products from our fruits and vegetables, managing healthy bee colonies, producing bee related products and contributing to food sovereignty in our region.
When organizations refer to “organic” production, they are saying that they follow guidelines set out for the amendments and pesticides they use. Organic guidelines are a good step in the right direction. But, organic farmers can still use conventional farming techniques, such as yearly tilling and conventional land management. Some of these modern farm practices result in unhealthy, depleted soil. Unhealthy soil allows pests and diseases to thrive. In going “beyond organic”, 9 Acres strives to develop healthy soil and to minimize soil disturbance.
